Tulipanes Latino Art and Film Festival
Saturday September 18 - Sunday September 19, 2010
Tulipanes is a free festival celebrating Latino culture through art, music, film, dance, and more. Films include shorts, animation, documentaries, and feature-length, all of which explore Latino stereotypes, politics, race, and social issues. (Most films are screened in Spanish with English subtitles.) Other Tulipanes events include a fine arts fair, cantina food court, bilingual worship celebration, outdoor movie, giant piñata, and main stage musical entertainment in Centennial Park, 250 Central Avenue.
Salsa Night Saturday September 18, 8pm-midnight, at the Holland Armory 16 West 9th Street
