Michigan Day of Dance

The Michigan Dance Council (MDC) Showcase Concert highlights the dance work of talented choreographers from around the state. The performance includes adjudicated pieces and those of invited guest artists. A highlight of the concert is the presentation of the “Maggie Allesee New Choreography Award”. This honor, which includes a monetary gift, is awarded to a Michigan choreographer for a new work created within the year.
