Tulip Time Volksparade on 8th Street

Parade route: 8th St. between Columbia Ave. & Kollen Park
White Glove Inspection – 10:30am
Klompen Dance – 1pm
Streetscrubbing – 1:15pm
Volksparade – 2pm
For 79 years, Holland residents have been keeping with the “Dutch Cleanliness” tradition starting with the white glove inspection performed by the Mayor and City Council. Inspection approximately 20 minutes. Later, watch hundreds of Dutch-costumed townspeople armed with brooms and pails scrub the parade route clean. The Volksparade features dozens of colorful bands, floats, and more. Our Exhibition Dutch Dance groups “Klomp” along the route in their authentic costumes and real wooden shoes! Volksparade approximately 1½ hours.
