Live Theatre Production: Wooing Wed Widing Hood:

Wooing Wed Widing Hood, a fractured fairy tale by Charlie Lovett, opens Wednesday, July 9 with a 7 pm performance, and runs through Saturday, July 19. Performances are 7 pm Wednesdays through Saturdays with a 2 pm matinee on both Saturdays. Tickets are $8. The box office opens on July 1 and can be reached at 396-2021. The box office will be closed on July 4th. Box office hours are Monday to Friday from 6 pm to 8:30 pm and one hour before each show. Holland Civic Theatre is located at 50 W. Ninth St, Holland.

Children’s Theatre Production: Wooing Wed Widing Hood … Did you know that Little Red Riding Hood had two other sisters—Big Green Riding Hood and Medium Purple Riding Hood? Back in the kingdom of Wychwood-Under-Ooze , Wise Prince Jason, Strong Prince Justin and ordinary Loud Prince Frank all want to woo Little Red Riding Hood.

So the king and queen hire the Fairy Godmother—after all, this is a fairy tale—to set three tasks for the princes to perform. Only the prince who can find the missing girl, defeat the dragon and awaken a castle visitor from her slumber earns the right to woo Wed Widing Hood that is, Red Riding Hood! Complete with the big bad wolf and more twists than a roller coaster, this fractured fairy tale adventure, is guaranteed to end in happily-ever-after laughter.
