Hope College Orchestra

The show will open with “Overture to La Cenerentola,” by Gioacchino Rossini, and continue with “Simple Symphony for String Orchestra,” by Benjamin Britten. Next will be “Concerto for Piano and Orchestra No. 2 in C minor, Op. 18,” by Sergei Rachmaninoff, followed by “Les Preludes, Symphonic Poem No. 3,” by Franz Liszt.
The concert will feature pianist Adam Clark in his debut performance as a new member of the Hope music faculty. He will be performing the “Piano Concerto No. 2 in C minor,” by Rachmaninoff.
The Orchestra is directed by Richard Piippo of the Hope music faculty, who is an associate professor of cello and chamber music at the college. Piippo has taught at Hope since 1999.
