An Open Mind is a Terrible Thing to Close

Join us for the December 9 Early Bird Breakfast to hear what many call the best “diversity” message you have ever heard from Dr. Steve Robbins, published author and highly-requested speaker.

We live in a fast-paced world that’s throwing new things at us all the time – new people, new ideas, new ways of doing things. An environment of “complexity” requires an open mind that can entertain multiple perspectives if one expects to thrive. In his presentation, Dr. Robbins will offer insights from the world of cognitive science behind open (and closed) mindedness and suggest actions we can take to become more open-minded, more creative and innovative, and less unintentionally intolerant.

The breakfast will be held at the Haworth Inn & Conference Center from 7:30 am to 8:30 am and costs $15 per person for Chamber members and $25 per person for non-members.

Additional Networking Opportunity: Pre-Coffee

You are also invited to socialize and network before breakfast begins at the “Pre-Coffee.” Come to Early Bird at 7:00 am, avoid the lines at check-in, get a cup of coffee, and have a relaxing time meeting new people and chatting with old friends.
