Rosy Mound Natural Area County Park

  • Located on Lakeshore Avenue south of Rosy Mound Drive,
  •  Grand Haven Twp, MI 49417

Rosy Mound is a classic Great Lakes dune system inclduing high wooded dunes, foredunes, a beach and a dune blowout. A .7 mile (one way) hiking trail from teh parking area to the Lake Michigan shoreline includes 1,000 feet of stairs up and down the dunes and scenic ciews of woods, the dune blowout and Lake Michigan. A unique shade canopy, dune boardwalk trail and pit toilets are located near the beach. Some trails are wheelchair accessible and all stairs are designed to be ADA accessible.
Rosy Mound is open year round: April 1 through October 31, 7am to 10pm, and November 1 through March 31, 7am to 8pm.
Vehicle Permit: Ottawa County residents - $5.00/day or $15.00/annual pass Non-Residents: $7.00/day or $25.00/annual pass Seniors (60+) - $7.00/year or regular daily fees Motor vehicle parking fees are in effect from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. Motor vehicle fees are required whether or not the park entrance is staffed.
