Upper Macatawa Natural Area

  • 1300 84th Ave.,
  •  Zeeland, MI 49464

The Upper Macatawa Conservation Area (UMCA) is located in Zeeland Township. The site now includes 576 acres with trails for hiking and cross-country skiing, including a section of paved trail that will be part of the future greenway trail system.
Up to six miles of single-track mountain biking trails are open to the public. This is the first trail designed specifically for mountain biking at an Ottawa County Park. Please respect others trail users and "no bikes" signs so hopefully this will be the first of many more new bike trails in the area. Learn more about current trail restrictions for the Upper Macatawa Cycling area at this link: https://www.facebook.com/UpperMacatawa
The UMCA is currently accessed by the parking area on 76th Avenue (south of Byron Road).
