Winter Sports in Ottawa County
Welcome to Holland, a winter playground that’s easy to get to when you need a break from your winter routine. Here you’ll find outdoor activities that will invigorate you, like cross country skiing and snow shoeing through the Lake Michigan dunes. Or sledding that will make you laugh and remember your childhood. (Pigeon Creek Park, Van RaaltePark, Dunes State Park). Ski rentals available.
There are also places for quiet relaxation. You’ll discover majestic icebergs that float silently on Lake Michigan and be amazed by lighthouses that have been transformed into huge sculptures of ice. This area experiences regular lake effect snows, so chances are we’ll have plenty, even if the snow has disappeared where you live.
