If you happen to run out of things to do in Holland--not an easy feat--you might want to trek to the surrounding communities for some other enjoyable diversions. In Saugatuck and Douglas, hop on a dune schooner, take a paddleboat ride down the Kalamazoo River, or enjoy the lively arts scene. Or try Fennville for a slice of apple pie or a u-pick experience at Crane's Orchards and wine tasting at Fenn Valley Winery.

Just east of Holland is Zeeland, where the whole family will enjoy places like the Critter Barn and annual events like the Pumpkinfest and the Holiday Train Show. Grand Haven is north of Holland, and has a waterfront downtown with the world's largest musical fountain. Just south in West Olive are the acres of dunes, woods and breathtaking Michigan shoreline of Rosy Mound Park, Kirk Park, and Olive Shores Park.

No matter where you venture around Holland and the surrounding area, you're sure to reutn home with cherished memories- and plans for your next visit!
