Join Mycophile's Garden for a brief introduction to the wide world of edible fungi! The class will begin with a brief introduction to the best available books, websites, and organizations for learning how to identify many of the thousands of species that occur in Michigan. Then, you'll learn mushroom preparation and edibility and the unique medicinally active compounds found in many species. With edible species alone accounting for over 2,000 different varieties worldwide, there's much to learn!
