Stretching along Lake Michigan's shoreline just north of Holland, this park boasts 66 acres of sandy beach, wooded dunes and high bluffs. Facilities include a picnic shelter, rustic lodge, playground, concession and modern rest rooms. Nature trails with wooden stairways wind through the wooded dunes and offer spectacular views of Lake Michigan. Note: Ottawa County provides NO LIFEGUARDS at parks with swimming facilities. Park Hours Kirk Park is open year 'round. March 1 through October 15 - 7:00am - 10:00pm October 16 through February 28 - 7:00am - 8:00pm Dog Policy Dogs are permitted at Kirk Park. Dog lovers will delight in the new off-leash beach at the southernmost area of the park. The area is accessible from the south beach stairs, and dogs must remain on leash to and from the off leash beach. For the safety and enjoyment of all park guests, pets must be on ten foot leashes and under control. Owners must clean up after their pet and dispose of waste in a trash receptacle. Dogs are not permitted in park buildings, restrooms, picnic shelters, playground areas, or as posted. Leader dogs for persons with disabilities are permitted in all areas at any time. Recognizing that most dogs enjoy running and playing freely, many Ottawa County Open Space Lands allow dogs year-round off leash. Vehicle Permit: Ottawa County residents - $5.00/day or $15.00/annual pass Non-Residents: $7.00/day or $25.00/annual pass Seniors (60+) - $7.00/year or regular daily fees Motor vehicle parking fees are in effect from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. Motor vehicle fees are required whether or not the park entrance is staffed.
