Sinterklaas Eve

Friday, November 30 | 6pm - 9pm

Reminiscent of years gone by, this traditional Dutch folk event celebrates Sinterklaas, the benevolent St. Nicholas.  Listen to stories, make a Dutch lantern and play games at the Holland Armory (16 West 9th Street) beginning at 6pm. Sinterklass will arrive on his great white horse shortly after 7pm at the 8th Street Market Place (Kerstmarkt- 158 West 8th Street) to lead children and their families on a procession to Centennial Park, where he will greet the crowd and lead the lighting of the Christmas tree. Afterward, join Sinterklaas at the Holland Museum (31 West 10th Street) for photo, holiday crafts, and tasty treats.
