Are you looking for an evening out on the town where you can enjoy unique and locally handcrafted beverages? If you enjoy craft beer, artisan spirits, ciders, or wine, look no further than Holland Michigan!  With the ‘handcrafted’ and ‘keeping-it-local’ trend becoming increasingly popular, Holland is rising to the top of the scene with its locally sourced and hand-crafted beverages.

Spend your time downtown where you can choose from a number of cozy bars or brew pubs to sit and stay a while, or try a pint or flight of wine and move on to your next great adventure.

Perhaps the most popular Brewery in Holland is the one that started it all. New Holland Brewing Company was established in 1997 and put Holland on the map for craft beer.  With its iconic brews quickly making a name for themselves, New Holland has now grown its product line to include distilled beverages.  Attached to the New Holland Brew Pub on 8th is The Sidecar, New Holland’s retail store where you can purchase New Holland merchandise and packaged beer and spirits.

While downtown, enjoy live Irish themed music at The Curragh and sip your spirits by the fireplace, or bring your own food in to Our Brewing Company and enjoy a flight of beer while you play a board game.  Hops at 84 East has the largest selection on tap and offers high demand tap takeovers from other craft brewers.  Stop into Warner Wines for some wine tasting, or Head over to Big Lake Brewing for great beer and the perfect outdoor seating. Coppercraft Distillery offers hand crafted cocktails and artisan spirits

Is hard cider your thing?  Head to Virtue Cider in Fennville and enjoy nibbling off of a beautiful charcuterie board while you enjoy a flight of cider, or head to Farmhouse Cider in Hudsonville and sit in the pet friendly Cidergarten and enjoy eats from partnering food trucks. (Check the schedule in advance.)

And Don’t forget to pick up your Handcrafted Beverage Passport from the Holland Area Visitors Bureau (78 E 8th St.) before you head out for your drinks! The pocket- sized Passport is the perfect excuse to get out to participating establishments- featuring breweries, wineries, distilleries and cideries in the greater Holland area.

When you bring the Passport to a participating establishment, it will be stamped with each artisan’s specially designed stamp; those collecting all of the stamps can return their Passport to the Visitors Bureau for verification. Once verified, the Passport holder will receive a custom-stamped “Handcrafted in Holland” bar blade, compliments of the Holland Area Visitors Bureau.

The Holland Area Visitors Bureau reminds participants to drink responsibly and take advantage of alternative transportation options.
