Enjoy Rosy Mound Natural Area County Park
Rosy Mound is a classic Great Lakes dune area inclduing high wooded dunes, wooden walkways, and beach access. A .7 mile (one way) hiking trail from the parking area to the Lake Michigan shoreline includes 1,000 feet of stairs up and down the dunes, scenic views of the woods, and Lake Michigan. A unique shade canopy, dune boardwalk trail, and pit toilets are located near the beach. Some trails are wheelchair accessible and all stairs are designed to be ADA accessible.
Vehicle Permit: Ottawa County residents - $5.00/day or $15.00/annual pass
Non-Residents: $8.00/day or $25.00/annual pass
Seniors (60+) - $9.00/year
*Motor vehicle parking fees are in effect from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day. Please note that a Michigan “Recreation Passport” is not valid at County Parks.Permits are required even if there is no one at the booth. Vehicles in the parking lot without a valid permit are subject to a civil infraction citation.*
Dogs are not allowed at Rosy Mound.
Rosy Mound is open year round: March 1 through October 15, 7am to 10pm, and October 16 through February 28, 7am to 8pm.
