Fishing in Holland, Michigan

By land or lake, Holland is the perfect place to cast a line.  The beautiful blue water of Lake Michigan is known as one of the best freshwater fisheries in the world! Lake Michigan is well known for lake trout, brown trout, steelhead and king and coho salmon. The surrounding inland lakes and rivers are known for walleye, perch, bluegill, and bass.  You'll see a lot of fisherman fishing directly from the break wall and pier at the Holland State Park. If you have a boat, there are several public boat launches that allow easy access to the water along Lake Macatawa.  With plenty of charter fishing opportunities available, you can take your pick of the many experienced licensed captains and spend a day fishing on the lake.
